SAS Nagar, January 16 - Mohali Police has arrested two persons in this case of double murder after solving the case of dead bodies of two young persons found on the railway track near village Chilla on January 8. A total of five persons are said to be involved in this case, out of which three persons are yet to be arrested.

Mohali DSP City 2 S Harsimran Singh Bal said that the bodies of the two youths who were recovered from the railway track near village Chilla were murdered in the room of two youths Amir alias Kaku and Shiva residing at Jagatpura Colony. He said that both of them have been arrested by the police and the search is on for the other persons involved in the incident.

S. Ball said that on the day these bodies were recovered, he also visited the incident site and even then it seemed that these bodies may have been brought here from another place and thrown here. He said that since this matter belonged to the railway police, it was also being investigated by the GRP.

He said that in the meantime, ASI Jeet Ram of Sohana police station arrested two persons Amir alias Kaku and Shiva along with a pistol and a kamanidar knife during a raid and when the police interrogated both of them, this double murder was revealed. The whole story came out.

They said that both of them have told that the two youths named Manish Kumar and Raj Kamal were killed in their room when they all gathered there to drink alcohol. They said that Manish Kumar and Raj Kamal had an old rivalry with Sahil and Akshay and both of them were also there that day. Meanwhile, Sahil and Akshay killed Manish Kumar and Raj Kamal and cut their throats and later placed the dead bodies in Rahul's vehicle and threw them on the railway line.

He said that the police have registered a case against both of them under section 25-54-59 of the Arms Act. He said that the police will arrest Sahil, Akshay and Rahul involved in the double murder case soon.

It is to be mentioned here that on January 8, dead bodies of 2 youths were recovered on the railway track passing by the nearby village of Chilla. The age of these deceased youths was around 25-30 years and both of them seemed to be immigrants. Due to the recovery of dead bodies on the railway line, a case was registered by the GRP.

Railway Police DSP Jagmohan Singh, who reached the spot at that time, said that during the preliminary investigation, it seems that after killing these persons elsewhere, the bodies have been thrown here on the railway track to place them. He said that the throats of the deceased were slit and it appears that the throats were slit using a sharp weapon. Blood was also found on the roadside near the railway track, which raised the suspicion that these bodies may have been brought here in a vehicle.

According to the information received, both of them were produced by the police in the honorable court where Ameer alias Kaku was remanded for 2 days while Shiva was being produced in another court due to his minor status.
