Nawanshahr/Banga 26 February- After assuming charge, the new Deputy Commissioner of Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar district, Ankurjit Singh, today paid tribute at the memorial of Shaheed-e-Azam S. Bhagat Singh at Khatkar Kalan. On this occasion, apart from paying floral tribute to the statue of Shaheed-e-Azam, he also paid tribute at the memorial of his father S. Kishan Singh.
During this, he also visited the museum and ancestral house of Shaheed-e-Azam S. Bhagat Singh. On this occasion, he said that he is very happy to come to the land of Khatkar Kalan. He said that he is fortunate that he got the opportunity to serve on this sacred land of Shaheed-e-Azam in the district. He said that it is only due to the sacrifices of the martyrs that we are breathing the air of freedom today.
He said that keeping in mind the thoughts of Shaheed Bhagat Singh, he would serve the people of the district day and night and would work with full dedication to take district Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar to the heights of progress. Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Rajeev Verma, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development) Avneet Kaur, SDM Banga Vipan Bhandari, SDM Balachaur Ravinder Bansal and other officers were also present on the occasion.
