
Shri Guru Ravidas Mahasabha delegation met Scheduled Caste Commission Chairman Kuldeep Dhiman, submitted a memorandum regarding various demands
Una, June 10- A delegation of Shri Guru Ravidas Mahasabha Himachal Pradesh met Himachal Pradesh State Scheduled Caste Commission Chairman Kuldeep Kumar Dhiman in his office today (Tuesday). The delegation, led by Mahasabha's State President Prakash Chand Bhatia, presented a memorandum to the Commission Chairman and placed before him various important demands related to the Scheduled Castes.
Una, June 10- A delegation of Shri Guru Ravidas Mahasabha Himachal Pradesh met Himachal Pradesh State Scheduled Caste Commission Chairman Kuldeep Kumar Dhiman in his office today (Tuesday). The delegation, led by Mahasabha's State President Prakash Chand Bhatia, presented a memorandum to the Commission Chairman and placed before him various important demands related to the Scheduled Castes.
The main demands included early formation of a board for Scheduled Castes and Tribes Development Corporation, increase in budgetary resources for administrative efficiency in the implementation of schemes and request for ensuring special budgetary provision in proportion to the population. The delegation demanded that a special act for SC-ST Development Fund be brought in Himachal Pradesh as per the Telangana model, so that 33 percent of the total budget of the state can be ensured for the social, economic and educational development of the Scheduled Castes.
The Commission Chairman Kuldeep Dhiman listened to all the demands of the delegation sympathetically and termed them extremely necessary for social harmony and inclusive development in the state. He assured that the Commission will take all these issues seriously and raise them effectively before the state government.
He said that the Scheduled Caste Commission is committed to protecting the rights of the deprived sections of the state and their social progress and for this, a concrete action plan is being taken forward. On this occasion, Commission members Advocate Digvijay Malhotra and Advocate Vijay Dogra, Member Secretary Vinay Modi were present. In the delegation, along with State President Prakash Chand Bhatia, Shri Guru Ravidas Mahasabha office bearers Hari Ram Heer, Una Mahasabha President Shakuntala Sandhu, retired Tehsildar Baldev, Block Unit Kangra President Kamal Saroch, Vice President Pratap, Media Incharge Sulindar Chopra, Balram Mahe, Bakshi Ram Bhatti, Harsh Kumar, Sukhdev from Chintpurni Assembly, Zulfi Ram from Dhusara, Mahesh Kumar, Ravinder Singh and Rohit Thakur and other members were present.
