
District level youth fair preparations complete - Kohli
Hoshiarpur - The state government is performing its duties well by continuing the series of initiatives to create enthusiasm for sports among the youth and keep them away from addiction. Under the able leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann and Minister of Sports and Youth Services Gurmeet Singh Meet Hair, the skills of the youth are being tested by conducting district level youth fairs in different districts of the state.

Under the able leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann and Minister of Sports and Youth Services Gurmeet Singh Meet Hair, the skills of the youth are being tested by conducting district level youth fairs in different districts of the state.
Under the same series, District Administration Hoshiarpur and Youth Services Department Hoshiarpur are conducting Open Youth Fair of District Hoshiarpur on 11th and 12th January at Dasmesh Girls College Mukerian.
Preet Kohli, assistant director of the youth services department, said that Hoshiarpur residents between 15 and 35 years of age can participate in this youth fair. First day traditional dress, war singing, kwishri, folk songs, folk instruments, phulkari, nale weaving, genera weaving, chikku making, para making, poster making, collage making, clay modelling, cartooning, rangoli and second day bhand, monoacting, speech , Sammi/ Ludi, Bhangra, Giddha, Gatke competitions will be conducted. He said that the preparations for this youth fair to be held on January 11-12 have been completed. He said that a large number of students from NSS units, Red Ribbon Clubs, Youth Clubs and other organizations are participating in this youth fair being conducted under the supervision of District Deputy Commissioner Komal Mittal.
