
Secretary District Legal Services Authority held a meeting with the officials of various departments
Hoshiarpur- On the directions of District and Sessions Judge-cum-Chairman District Legal Services Authority Dilbag Singh Johal, CJM-cum-Secretary District Legal Services Authority Raj Pal Rawal today held a meeting with various government institutions of the district, managers of telecom companies, managers of insurance companies regarding the National Lok Adalat to be held on 8 March 2025 at the district level and sub-division level.
Hoshiarpur- On the directions of District and Sessions Judge-cum-Chairman District Legal Services Authority Dilbag Singh Johal, CJM-cum-Secretary District Legal Services Authority Raj Pal Rawal today held a meeting with various government institutions of the district, managers of telecom companies, managers of insurance companies regarding the National Lok Adalat to be held on 8 March 2025 at the district level and sub-division level.
During this meeting, the officials of the telecom company and the insurance company were instructed to file as many cases as possible in the National Lok Adalat. During this meeting, it was asked to settle as many cases as possible through compromise. Along with this, Traffic Incharge Amarjit Singh was asked to send the challans of those violating traffic rules to the court of CJM Hoshiarpur.
Apart from this, on the occasion of Lala Lajpat Rai's birth anniversary on 28 January 2025, a seminar was organized by CJM-cum-Secretary District Legal Services Authority Rajpal Rawal in Central Jail Hoshiarpur. During this seminar, Deputy Chief Legal Aid Defense Council Harjinder Kumar Verma and Staff Member Legal Aid Defense Council Pawan Kumar shared detailed information about the life of Lala Lajpat Rai to the prisoners lodged in Central Jail Hoshiarpur and along with this they were also made aware about various schemes of NASL being run by the Authority.
Apart from this, during the National Lok Adalats in the year 2024, awards of Rs 1,04,10,000 were passed in 28 cases of victim compensation, free legal aid was provided to 1762 petitioners and a total of 56982 cases were settled.
