
A camp was organized to give information about government schemes to the women of the village
Patiala, December 20 - A camp was organized by the National Rural Livelihood Mission at village Rivas Brahmins under the leadership of Additional Deputy Commissioner (Rural Development) Anuprita Johal to create awareness about small business, insurance and legal rights for the poor women of the villages. More than 60 Livelihood Mission members from different villages participated in the camp. On this occasion Rajinder Gupta, FLC, PGB informed the members present about PMSB Y, PMJJB Y, AP Y, Sukanya Samriddhi, Health Insurance and their claims.

In the camp, Parneet Kaur, SIPO and Harleen Kaur, FM, who came from District Industry Center, Patiala, are trying to provide loans to small businessmen under PMFME by the government on 35 percent subsidy. In which members can avail loan facility by contacting the department to start their oil extraction, flour mill work, papad, pickle etc.
Paramjit Singh from District Legal Services Authority, Patiala informed the members about legal services while making them aware of their rights. BPM Varun Parashar said that under PM Vishwakarma scheme rural people like blacksmith, tailor, washerman, potter, barber, carpenter, sculptor, cobbler, goldsmith, hammer/tool kit, locks, baskets, boots, garlands, toys or other small Tailors, beauty parlor operators, can get their registration done. Under the scheme, 5-15 days training will be provided and a kit worth 10,000/- to 15,000/- will be provided to start the work. A loan of 50,000/- to 3,00,000/- can also be taken under this scheme.
