SAS Nagar SAS Nagar, October 4:- A total of 1446 nominations for the post of Sarpanches and 3890 for the post of Panches have been received in SAS Nagar District by the last day of filing of Nominations to the Gram Panchayat Elections-2024. Divulging the details, the Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Election Officer, Mrs Aashika Jain said that the block-wise break up of nominations as per the report received from SDMs, a total of 314 nominations for the post Sarpanches and 970 for the post of Panches submitted in the Mohali block.
 while 275 nominations for Sarpanches and 669 for Panches in total in Kharar block. Similarly, a total of 505 nominations for Sarpanches and 1336 nominations for Panches were received in Derabassi block while 352 nominations for Sarpanches and 915 nominations for Panches in total in Majri Block. She said that the filing of Nominations is completed today and now Scrutiny of the papers will be done on October 5, 2024, while the last date for withdrawal of nomination is October 7, 2024, by 3:00 pm.
