Garhshankar- A meeting of the active members of the Kirti Kisan Union Garhshankar was held at Sikanderpur village to prepare for the Vijay Rally being held at Samrala on 24th August under the call of the United Kisan Morcha. In which it was decided to participate in the rally in large numbers.
Issuing a statement to the press, the district secretary of the organization Kulwinder Singh Chahal and block secretary Kulwant Singh Golewal said that the land pooling policy implemented by the Punjab government on 14th May was strongly opposed by the farmers of all Punjab under the leadership of the United Kisan Morcha and a huge tractor march was held across Punjab on 30th July. Seeing the cry of the farmers, all the political parties were forced to raise their voices.
Due to which the Punjab government had to withdraw this decision. In which the United Kisan Morcha has won. He said that for a long time now, there has been a shortage of DAP and urea fertilizers in Punjab and an attempt is being made to install chip meters under a well-planned conspiracy. Which will not be tolerated at any cost.
In today's meeting, the organization's state vice president Harmesh Singh Dhesi, block finance secretary Sandeep Singh Mintu, vice president Harbans Singh Rasoolpur, Samser Singh Chak Singha, Harjinder Singh Sikanderpur, Kartar Singh, Jasvir Singh, Romi Sikanderpur, Paramjit Singh Roorkee Khas, Baghel Singh, Didar Singh and Gurmukh Singh Sikanderpur etc. farmers were present.
