Hoshiarpur - Mohammad Rafi Cultural and Charitable Society Hoshiarpur celebrated the 99th birth anniversary of the great artist Mohammad Rafi with the support of Music Department of Government College. On this occasion, music lovers and dignitaries participated enthusiastically. The function was started by lighting candles by special guests and dignitaries.
Society President Avtar Singh (Managing Officer) welcomed the guests and informed about the life and successful musical journey of Mohammad Rafi. He said that Rafi Sahib is a pillar of music and a beacon of light for musicians. Master Kulwinder Singh expressed his views and said that Muhammad Rafi has left behind a priceless treasure of melodious music for future generations. Ashwani Dutta said that a Lasani artist like Rafi is born on earth after ages. Prof. Harjinder Aman, head of the music department of the government college, said that the evergreen artist Muhammad Rafi was a noble person, who became the identity and voice of India in the world by touching the heights of music. The founder of the society, Gulzar Singh Kalkat, thanked the audience, including the guest, and said that the unique voice of Muhammad Rafi, a native of Punjab, fills human hearts with solace.
On this occasion, there was a mesmerizing round of music and the melodious artists colored the event in the color of Mohammad Rafi by presenting evergreen songs of Mohammad Rafi. After that, the best artists Prof. Harjinder Aman, Dr. Vijay Sharma, Master Sukhwinder Singh, Dr. Harjinder Oberoi, Manjinder Singh, student artists of the college's music department and others presented the religious, spiritual, social and purely cultural songs sung by Rafi Sahib in an emotional manner. .
