After this, Sarv Shri Rajinder Singh Azad Legal Advisor, Gurbaksh Singh Mankotia Stage Secretary, Avtar Singh Jhingar Chairman, Gian Singh Bhalethu General Secretary, Harjinder Singh Gill Senior Vice President, Balwinder Singh Garhshankari General Secretary Nangal and Avtar Singh Sherpuri in their joint statements criticized the 'AAP government' and said that in our 70 to 75 years of age, we have not seen a more critical government that is against pensioners/employees. This present government does not even understand that employees/pensioners are the backbone of the government.
The government is delaying the payment of the five installments of the Sixth Pay Commission, which is Rs. 2.5 to 3 lakhs for each pensioner/employee. The present government is stuck on 38% DA, while the governments of the neighboring states of Himachal and Haryana are giving 53% DA, equal to the central government.
Whenever we hear the Chief Minister of Punjab, he sings the tune of the treasury being full, whereas this treasury is filled only for government advertisements and air travel. All the comrades raised slogans loudly and demanded that our dues be paid to us while we are still alive, children have taken to the path of looting, drugs and theft due to not getting jobs. The employees who were recruited since 2004 are waiting for pension orders, the raw employees are waiting for permanent employment, women are waiting for thousands of rupees.
The speakers said that the government has made Punjab Roadways a hotbed by giving free travel facility to women on roadways. They warned that our organization is fully supporting the other organizations and we will fully support whatever programs the organizations will draw in the future.
