The landlords who benefited from the land pooling scheme in Sector 88-89 are troubled by the forced collection of PLC by GAMADA. Despite not being mentioned in the land pooling policy, GAMADA has accused PLC collection.

SAS Nagar, November 23 - Plots in front of parks to the owners of the land acquired by Gamada under the land pooling scheme from the revenue of Sohana, Lakhnore, Manak Majra and Bhagomajra villages for Sector 88-89 of Mohali in the year 2011. Or despite there being no policy or rule while giving NOC of corner plots, lakhs of rupees are being collected in the name of Preferential Location Charges (PLC), due to which land owners are angry with the government. being found

The land owners who acquired the plots under land pooling of these villages are Captain (Ret.) Sardara Singh resident of village Sohana, Harmanjot Singh Kumbhara, Hardeep Singh Uppal resident of sector 88, Satnam Singh Lakhnore, Balwinder Singh Lakhnore, Surjit Singh Manakpur Majra. , Jasveer Singh Lakhnore, Khushal Singh Nanomajra, Kuldeep Singh Sector 89, Veer Pratap Singh, Kudardeep Singh, Paramjit Singh Kumbhara, Balbir Singh Baronpur, Guljar Singh former Sarpanch Launderan, Prabhjot Kaur Lakhnore etc. said that when they acquired land under the Land Pooling Scheme If the land is given for parks and roads etc., then it is completely wrong to take preferential location charges (PLC) from them.

He said that if the zamindars sell the plots with corner or facing park to someone, then an affidavit is to be asked by GAMADA officials while giving NOC to the zamindars that they will deposit PLC from the buyer. He said that due to this bullying of GAMADA officials, the registrations of the plots have stopped. He said that the GAMADA officials are not ready to listen to anything regarding this and the zamindars will be forced to take the help of the courts due to which the lawsuits in the courts will increase.

He claimed that there is no policy of the government regarding taking PLC from the zamindars and the Accountant General Punjab has also accepted this. He said that the surprising thing is that in the ecocity project of Gamada itself, the said PLC charges or any other such fee is not collected from the landlords while it is being collected in Sector 88-89. He said that as per the provisions of the Land Pooling Policy, there is no mention anywhere of taking PLC from the owners of the land acquired under the policy to be exchanged for residential plots against the plots having corner or facing parks. Apart from this, there is no mention of PLC in the Letter of Intent (LOI) but despite this, PLC is being extorted by Gamada.

The landlords demanded the intervention of Chief Minister Punjab Bhagwant Mann in this matter and said that the illegal PLC being imposed by GAMADA should be stopped immediately and the landlords should be given relief. He said that if this action is not stopped within a week, a large number of zamindars will be forced to protest in front of the GAMADA office.
