SAS Nagar, November 23 - In the nearby village of Durali, the villagers, fed up with the drug dealers, surrounded and arrested the drug dealers today and then called the police and handed them over to the police.

The villagers said that there are two or three persons in the village who sell drugs and despite being stopped several times, they have continued their work. He said that after a while some people keep coming to them to buy drugs or to supply drugs due to which the atmosphere of the village is bad. He said that many complaints have been made in this regard, but in the absence of any action, today the villagers got together and arrested these persons and drug suppliers and handed them over to the police. He said that a drug dealer, a supplier and some buyers have been arrested while some persons have managed to escape.

DSP City 2 S Harsimran Singh Bal, who reached the spot, said that the villagers had informed the police that some persons in the village sell drugs and some come to supply them. He said that 8-9 persons have been detained by the police and further action will be taken after the investigation by the police.
