Hoshiarpur- The Outsource Union Municipal Corporation met Local Government Minister Dr. Ravjot Singh and apprised him of the demands of the employees and appealed to him to listen to the voice of the employees. Giving information in this regard, Union President Kamal Bhatti and Safai Mazdoor Federation President Raja Hans said that the salaries of outsourced and insourced (office and field) employees working in the Municipal Corporation, Office Water Supply and Sanitation Department Bathinda and Hoshiarpur are consistent and reasonable. Justice should be given to the employees by fixing them per month.
 During the program organized in the Municipal Corporation, the union leaders honored Dr. Ravjot and said that the employees working on outsourced and insourced basis in the Municipal Corporation are working with full dedication inside the office and in the field. These include office, data entry operators, drivers, attendants and field water supply maintenance helpers, tubewell operators, electricians, clock watchmen, gardeners and street light workers and all of them have been working with full honesty and hard work for the last 10-15 years. 
These workers are being paid the minimum wages issued by the labor department, which is very low in today's inflationary era. It was decided through letter No. 176, dated 20 April 2022 issued by the Superintendent Engineer Water Supply and Sanitation Department, Bathinda that all outsourced and insourced staff working in the office should be given a reasonable and uniform salary. Which is as follows. They demanded that as per the letter, employees with 0 to 5 years of experience should be given Rs. 19,900 per month, employees with 5 to 10 years of experience Rs. 22,500 and employees with 10 to 15 years of experience Rs. 22,500. 24,500 per month. 
After apprised of the demands of the union, Dr. Ravjot assured to pay attention to this. He said that the government is serious about the demands of the employees and will make every possible effort to resolve them. On this occasion, MLA Brahmshankar Jimpa, MP Dr. Raj Kumar, MLA Karamveer Singh Ghuman, Chairman Sandeep Saini, Chairman Kamaljit Kaur, MLA Dr. Ishank, District Magistrate Komal Mittal, Mayor Surinder Kumar, Commissioner Dr. Amandeep, Commissioner Anupam Kler, Dr. Apart from ADC Rahul Chaba, Joint Commissioner Sandeep Tiwari, General Secretary Nishant Kaith, Treasurer Inderpal Singh, Chairman Rakesh Sidhu, Vice Chairman Surinderpal, Anil Gill, Yatish Agarwal, Gagandeep, Karanvir Singh, Surinder Kumar and Sumit Sharma and other members were present from the union.
