
Flying squad of Central Pollution Control Board visited various villages of Patiala district
Patiala, November 14 - The flying squad of the Central Pollution Control Board visited different areas of the district to inspect the cases of stubble burning. The flying squad visited Ganda Kheri and Bathli villages of Rajpura sub-division and Myal Kalan of Samana sub-division.
Patiala, November 14 - The flying squad of the Central Pollution Control Board visited different areas of the district to inspect the cases of stubble burning. The flying squad visited Ganda Kheri and Bathli villages of Rajpura sub-division and Myal Kalan of Samana sub-division. On this occasion, he had a special meeting with the cluster officers and agriculture officers appointed at the village level.
It may be mentioned that Vishal Gandhi, Scientist has been posted in District Patiala. The district administration, Patiala officials and officials of Punjab Pollution Control Board, Agriculture Department, Cooperation Department and Police Department provided full support to this flying squad.
The team met with various farmers of the villages and the team observed in-situ and ex-situ methods of paddy stubble management. The flying squad directed that every incident of stubble burning should be dealt with strictly by imposing environmental compensation etc. The team will visit villages in Patiala next week to see measures to control stubble burning.
