Patiala- Basant Ritu Youth Club Tripari Patiala organized a Van Maha Utsav program under the campaign "One Plant in My Mother's Name" at Deep Nagar Patiala in collaboration with the Ministry of Sports, Government of India. It was presided over by Sandeep Singh and attended by Mr. Mehar Singh as the chief guest and Mr. Harpal Singh Pannu as the special guest.
At the beginning of the program, the Van Maha Utsav was inaugurated by planting a Neem sapling. Club President Eng. Aakash Sharma and Founder Rajesh Sharma Ramtatwali said that last year also 100 saplings were planted in Deep Nagar, out of which about 70 percent of the saplings are growing today.
Seeing their enthusiasm, Basant Ritu Youth Club Tripari Patiala has planned a program to plant Neem and Sukhchain saplings in this rainy season as per the wishes of the residents of Deep Nagar.
And the program of planting these trees on the streets and bypass road of Deep Nagar was started today and initially 50 neem and sukhchain trees were planted by the club. Local resident Sandeep Singh said that he will plant neem trees in every street of Deep Nagar in collaboration with Basant Ritu Youth Club, Tipri.
Club founder Rajesh Sharma Ramtatwali thanked the residents of Deep Nagar and said that the residents of Deep Nagar are becoming an example for Patiala. The initiative of planting neem trees in about 20 streets of Deep Nagar will become a source of inspiration for everyone.
Mr. Mehar Singh and Mr. Harpal Singh Pannu also shared their views on saving the environment and said that planting trees and saving water is the need of the hour today. If every person plants trees and saves water, he will do a great service to nature. Therefore, we all have to come forward to plant trees and save water. Club members Mukesh Kumar, Rupinder Singh, Jagtar Singh, Dharminder Kumar, etc. participated in this program.
