SAS Nagar, September 13 District Health Department and Medical College launched the district level campaign 'Ayushman Bhava' here today. Addressing the event on this occasion, A. D. C. (D) Geetika Singh said that the main objective of this country-level campaign launched by the President of India today is to provide health services to every person in the country, increase awareness and provide free health insurance to every eligible beneficiary.

He said that this campaign is an extension of the already ongoing Ayushman Bharat-Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana under which free health insurance coverage up to Rs 5 lakh is being provided to the eligible beneficiaries by making Ayushman cards.

On this occasion, Civil Surgeon Dr. Mahesh Kumar Ahuja said that this campaign will run from September 17 to October 2, 2023, which has been named 'Seva Pakhwara'. He said that there are three main parts of this campaign in which Ayushman cards will be created for the eligible beneficiaries under Ayushman Apke Dwar 3.0. In the second part, Ayushman Melas will be organized every week at Health and Wellness Center and Community Health Center level. In the third part, Gram Sabha or Ward Sabhas will be held at village/ward level to increase awareness about various health schemes under Ayushman Sabhas. He said that Swachh Abhiyan, Organ Donation Campaign, Blood Donation Camp will also be a part of this campaign.
