Nawanshahr, August 2- For the past few months, Punjabi folk singer Buta Kohinoor, who has been soaring high in the skies of singing, has completed the video filming of his religious song ‘Raja Sahib De Diwano’. It is noteworthy that Buta Kohinoor has been highly active for the past eight months, and his decade-long absence was compensated by his audience within just one month.
Buta Kohinoor, who gained widespread fame in 1994 with the cassette ‘Husan Diyan Sarkaran’, collaborated with the then-popular singer Parveen Bharta in 2010 for the duet cassette ‘Wada Da Promise’. Later, in 2014, he presented a bouquet of Sufi songs titled ‘Ali Ali’ to his audience. However, due to some personal issues, Kohinoor had fallen behind in the field of singing.
On the night of December 31, 2024, at Sri Charanchhoh Ganga Amritkund Suchkhand Sri Khuralgarh Sahib, the song ‘Vich Kashi De Aaye Satguru Mere’, released by the committee president Sant Surinder Das and his team, achieved immense success. Since then, Buta Kohinoor has not looked back. His top gear in the field of singing has continued at the same pace, captivating audiences with bouquets of love and conquering several milestones in his musical journey.
From January until now, this is Buta Kohinoor’s fifth religious song to be released. Prior to this, the Sufi song ‘Ishq De Vihde’, ‘Mudke Aa Bapu’ dedicated to Father’s Day, and ‘Laggda Bhavan Pyara’ released recently on the occasion of Sawan’s Navratri have already been released, receiving overwhelming support from the audience.
The religious song ‘Raja Sahib De Diwano’ has been composed with musical tunes by Davinder Binda Mubarakpuri, with lyrics penned by Santokh Tajpuri. The video filming, completed yesterday, featured significant contributions from Director of Photography Simma Cam and Japneet Mahe.
The drone footage was skillfully handled by Ashish Matharu and his team members James, DP Delhi, and Jassi Bangian Wala, who played crucial roles. The video editing, to be completed soon by Japneet Mahe, will be released in a few days under the banner of JM7 Entertainment, produced under the supervision of Gurbakhsh Singh.
Singer Buta Kohinoor stated that, like his previous songs, he has high expectations from this religious song and hopes to receive the same captivating love from his audience.
