Nawanshahr- On the instructions of Deputy Commissioner Ankurjit Singh, the District Employment and Commerce Bureau distributed certificates to the youth today after training them for five days of delivery work at the local Red Cross De-Addiction Center. Additional Deputy Commissioner Rajiv Verma, while handing over certificates to the youth who received the delivery boy training provided by BGV Logistics Private Limited in collaboration with the District Employment and Commerce Bureau and Punjab Skill Development Mission, said that besides saying goodbye to the scourge of drugs, one should also make themselves employable through skill training.
He said that under the campaign against drugs, the Punjab government is continuously making efforts to bring the youth trapped in the trap of drugs back to normal life, taking advantage of which these youth should try to stand on their own feet.
He appealed to the youth who have given up drugs to get skill training and establish their own employment, for which the Punjab government and the district administration will provide all possible support. On this occasion, the youth took an oath that they will remain fully committed to adopting a healthy life. District Employment Officer Sandeep Kumar etc. were also present.
