
Nirman Mistri Mazdoor Sangh announces to join Sangrur rally on July 25
Nawanshahr- Nirman Mistri Mazdoor Sangh (IFTU) today announced to join the state level rally being organised in Sangrur on July 25 in collaboration with fraternal organisations for the release of arrested leaders of Bhumi Acquisition Sangharsh Samiti and against police repression. Speaking on the occasion, District Secretary of Federation of Indian Trade Unions (IFTU) Parveen Kumar Nirala, President of Nirman Mistri Mazdoor Sangh Nawanshahr Shiv Nandan, Om Prakash said that on May 20, at the instigation of Aam Aadmi Party government of Punjab, police arrested the leaders and workers of Bhumi Acquisition Sangharsh Samiti, who were going to build Begumpura on 927 acres of benami land in Sangrur district, many of whom are still in jail.
The police called two leaders of the committee on the pretext of talks and arrested them. He said that the Mann government is turning Punjab into a police state, fake police encounters are taking place every day, deaths are taking place in police custody. Struggle organizations are being suppressed by police force and houses are being demolished with bulldozers on the lines of UP. He said that the Mann government never tires of praising Shaheed Bhagat Singh and Dr. BR Ambedkar, but their real heirs are being put in jails.
He said that the anti-Dalit face of the Mann government is getting exposed day by day and the smoke mountains erected by this government are blowing away by the wind of struggles. The leaders said that people's struggles cannot be suppressed by force. He said that the organizations will break the police terror by organizing a big gathering in Sangrur. On this occasion, Bablu Saloh, Rajinder, Mukesh, Azad also expressed their views.
