SAS Nagar, April 25: Mayor of Mohali Municipal Corporation, Mr. Amarjit Singh Jeeti Sidhu today visited Sector 79 parks and assured the residents that the parks in the area will be developed in a beautiful, systematic and well-planned manner under the comprehensive development framework.
On the occasion, the Mohali Municipal Corporation officials accompanying him inspected the condition of the parks and noted down the directions given by the Mayor in writing. During the visit, the local residents gathered also raised several issues related to the parks, the main complaints being the uneven and irregular shape of the parks.
Addressing the residents, Mayor Jeeti Sidhu said that due to court stay during land acquisition at several places in the sector, the parks could not be built in proper shape. She said that now the stay has been lifted, and directions have been issued to the officials to build all the parks in the area in proper shape and standard.
He gave strict instructions to the corporation officers that problems arising in the parks should be resolved immediately and if any contractor is not doing the work properly, his allotment should be cancelled immediately.
