Hoshiarpur- MP Dr. Raj Kumar Chabbewal, Cabinet Minister Dr. Ravjot Singh and Forest Department Officer Amneet Singh IFS inaugurated the campaign by planting saplings under Van Maha Utsav in various villages of Hoshiarpur district, which includes villages Kapahat, Atwar Pur, Patial, Kot, Patiyarian and Malout Arniala Shah Pur etc. of Forest Range Mahagrowal.
On this occasion, the forest officer said that 30000 different types of saplings will be planted during the 2025/2026 monsoon season. Apart from this, saplings will also be planted in three Nanak Baghs and sacred forests in the villages.
On this occasion, Forest Range Officer Sanjeev Kumar, Parminder Singh Forester, Kuldeep Singh Forester, Karanveer Singh Forest Guard, Jagdish Singh Forest Guard and Sarpanchs and dignitaries of the villages of the area were present.
