11th International Yoga Day will be historic in Haryana, 11 lakh yoga seekers will practice yoga together.

Chandigarh, June 13 - Haryana Chief Minister Shri Naib Singh Saini said that vigorous preparations are being made to make the 11th International Yoga Day to be celebrated on June 21 historic. More than 11 lakh people will participate in the yoga programs to be organized together in 22 districts and 121 blocks of the state on June 21.

This year's state-level main program will be organized at the holy Brahma Sarovar in Kurukshetra, where Lord Shri Krishna gave the gift of karma to the world. Guru Swami Ramdev himself will be present in the yoga session organized at this historical place and make people practice yoga. The event aims to ensure the participation of more than one lakh people, which will not only make Yoga accessible to the masses but also set a new world record.
The Chief Minister was addressing the Yoga Protocol Training Camp organized jointly by the Department of AYUSH, Haryana Yoga Commission and ITBT in Panchkula as the Chief Guest.
During the program, the Chief Minister, other guests and ITBP personnel observed a two-minute silence to express their condolences to those who lost their lives in the plane crash in Ahmedabad and prayed to God to grant the departed souls a place at His feet.
Shri Naib Singh Saini, while paying homage to the unique contribution of the personnel of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force, said that this place is a living tradition of discipline, service, sacrifice and patriotism. Our soldiers guard the North-Eastern borders day and night in difficult conditions. The participation of ITBP soldiers in international sports including disaster relief, rescue operations, internal security has always been at the forefront.
He praised the Haryana Yoga Commission and said that to protect the health of the soldiers of the Central Security Forces, the Commission is giving a boost to Yoga. It is also preparing players in Yogasana. Today's Yoga Protocol Training Camp is of special importance, as it is being organized a week before the upcoming 11th International Yoga Day-2025. Apart from providing us with good health, Yoga also teaches us team spirit, mutual help and discipline, hence there is a deep connection between Yoga and soldiers.
More than 15 lakh 60 thousand people have participated in various yoga programs across the state so far -
The Chief Minister said that the 11th International Yoga Day has started in Haryana from May 27 and yoga programs are being organized across the state. More than 15 lakh 60 thousand people have participated in various yoga programs across the state so far and practiced yoga. More than 61 thousand medicinal plants have been planted during the yoga programs.
Apart from this, a Yoga Jagran Yatra is also being organized which will reach 5000 villages of the state on June 19. In these exercises, organizations like Patanjali Yogpeeth, Bharatiya Yoga Sansthan, Brahmakumari and Art of Living are also organizing yoga camps at 2500 places in the state. Under the Green Yoga Campaign, 10 lakh medicinal plants are being distributed till June 21. Apart from this, the government has also created a portal, on which so far 7 lakh 65 thousand 500 people have registered for the International Yoga Day on 21 June.
He said that Yoga is a gift from our ancestors, but for some time this old tradition of ours had ended, which had an impact on the human race. The result of the efforts of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi is that the United Nations declared 21 June as International Yoga Day. Today all the countries of the world are adopting Yoga. Today Yoga has become a part of the lives of people not only in India but also all over the world.
The Chief Minister said that 714 gymnasiums have been built to promote Yoga. 877 AYUSH Yoga Assistants have been appointed in these gymnasiums. Programs will also be organized in these gymnasiums on 21 June.
Mr. Naib Singh Saini said that the Prime Minister's vision is that India should become a developed nation by 2047, in which we are going to play the biggest role. On this occasion, the Chief Minister also conveyed the concept of a drug-free Haryana to the people present. During this, the Chief Minister also planted a sapling in the campus of ITBP Primary Training Center Bhanu under the Ek Peer Maa Ke Naam Abhiyan.
Yoga is not just exercise, it is a symbol of harmony and health - AYUSH Minister Aarti Singh Rao -
AYUSH and Health Minister Kumari Aarti Singh Rao said that the theme of the 11th edition of International Yoga Day is Yoga for One Earth, One Health, which reminds us that the health of humanity is deeply connected with the health of the environment and all living beings. Under the visionary leadership of the Chief Minister, the Haryana Government has transformed the individual practice of Yoga into a mass movement. Yoga marathon rallies, awareness campaigns and mass yoga programs are being organized at the district level.
He said that 10 lakh medicinal plants are being planted under Harit Yoga. Plantation and cleanliness drives are being organized at all yoga places across the state, in which yoga has been linked with environmental responsibility.
Yoga is not just exercise, but the art of living - Dr. Jaideep Arya-
Haryana Yoga Commission Chairman Dr. Jaideep Arya said that Yoga is not just a physical exercise, but an art of living which inspires a person to maintain harmony in all situations. 
He said that Lord Krishna has said in the Shrimad Bhagavad Gita – do every work in life with stability in Yoga. He said that Yoga becomes a means of mental and physical strength for the soldiers working in areas with minus 40 degree temperature like Siachen.
On this occasion, Brigadier J.S. Goraya, Commandant Mr. Sunil, Additional Chief Secretary of Health and AYUSH Department Mr. Sudhir Rajpal along with ITBP soldiers and other senior officers were present.
