
Students of the Department of Allied Health Sciences of Rayat Bahra went on an educational tour.
Hoshiarpur- The Department of Allied Health Sciences of Rayat Bahra Management College organized an educational tour with the aim of enriching the practical experience of the students. Under this tour, the students visited the prestigious Shriman Hospital in Jalandhar. The tour was led by the Principal of the college, Dr. Harinder Singh Gill and was conducted by Prof. Javed Ahmed Lone and Prof. Humaira Zahoor under the guidance of the Head of the Department, Dr. Sukhmeet Kaur Bedi.

In this regard, the Head of the Department, Dr. Sukhmeet Bedi said that the main objective of this educational tour is to enable the students to understand the functioning of the hospital in detail. He said that the students got an opportunity to learn about the process of various medical tests, how samples are tested in laboratories and the role of laboratory technicians and other staff in health services.
This experience gave practical knowledge to the students, which provided a solid foundation for their theoretical education. During this, the students were given information about the entire system of the hospital. In particular, laboratories for blood tests, germ identification, body chemistry tests, blood-related diseases and tissue tests were shown.
The experienced staff present there explained to the students in detail about the new machines, their use and the process of examining real patients. On this occasion, hospital officer Dr. Kusum Thakur explained to the students in detail about the necessary tests and procedures to be done before blood transfusion.
She shared her experiences with the students, presented a bouquet to the teachers as a mark of respect and presented her newly published book to the department. In the end, the teachers of Rayat Bahra College expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the entire staff and management of Shriman Hospital and especially to Dr. Kusum Thakur.
