Vaishno Devi Yatra resumes after 3 weeks.

Jammu:- The pilgrimage to the Mata Vaishno Devi temple located on the Trikuta hills in Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir resumed on Wednesday. Officials said that the yatra was closed for 22 days. It is noteworthy that 34 people were killed and 20 were injured due to a large-scale landslide here.

The Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board announced the resumption of the yatra from this morning when the weather improves, which brought joy to the faces of many pilgrims who were stuck in Katra town. Katra town is the base camp for the pilgrims.
Hundreds of pilgrims gathered at Banganga Darshani Gate, the starting point of the yatra, in the early hours of the day and expressed great joy and relief as the yatra began.
Shrine Board officials said that the yatra began at 6 am from both the routes. The yatra was temporarily suspended due to bad weather and track repairs. The Shrine Board appealed to all devotees to strictly follow the safety guidelines and keep updated through official communication channels.
