Patiala: To save precious lives and save lives during disasters, wars and incidents in the country and the world, only self, civil defense and national defense training, exercises and mock drills can eliminate fear among students, youth and citizens, prepare them for their own defense and care of the victims. 
These views were expressed by Punjab Civil Defense Company Commander Mr. Karamjit Singh Bhinder and Aryan Kanya Senior Secondary School Patiala Principal Mrs. Santosh Goyal while distributing appreciation certificates at a one-day training program on disaster management, civil defense, first aid, fire safety, self and defense of others during wars organized by Mr. Kaka Ram Verma, Volunteer Civil Defense, for 55 students and teachers of five schools at Aryan School.
Principal Mrs. Santosh Goyal said that in view of various crises and accidents, such training programs will prove to be very useful in eliminating fear among children and the public, making children and through them parents aware and making them loyal and responsible citizens in the country and helping angels for the victims.
At the camp, students and teachers of Aryan Kanya School, Green Well School, National High School, Veer Haqiqat Rai and Shri Ram Aryan School were taught practical methods of wars, disasters, domestic incidents, road accidents, heart attacks, cardiac arrest, ABCD of first aid, recovery position, ventilator artificial respiration, CPR, use of bandages, planks, rescue and transport of victims by Kaka Ram Verma.
The participants were honored with certificates. Karamjit Singh Bhinder expressed his gratitude and said that under the Disaster Management Civil Defense Act in villages and cities, such practical training camps are being organized in villages, neighborhoods, colonies and students, teachers and youth are being prepared as civil defense volunteers.
