
MP Dr. Raj Kumar Chabbewal had a special conversation on the 'War against Drugs' campaign - also shared his views on development, education, and jobs.
Hoshiarpur- In a special conversation with MP Dr. Raj Kumar Chabbewal today, many important issues were discussed regarding the 'War against Drugs' campaign launched by the Punjab Government. In this special conversation, Dr. Chabbewal praised the state government's zero tolerance policy against drugs and called it essential for the future of the society.
Hoshiarpur- In a special conversation with MP Dr. Raj Kumar Chabbewal today, many important issues were discussed regarding the 'War against Drugs' campaign launched by the Punjab Government. In this special conversation, Dr. Chabbewal praised the state government's zero tolerance policy against drugs and called it essential for the future of the society.
He said, "Punjab is a state of youth and our first priority is to get them out of the clutches of drugs. The government has taken concrete steps in this direction - awareness camps at the village level, deployment of special task force and rehabilitation centers are being strengthened."
In the conversation, he also gave detailed information on the changes coming in the field of education. Dr. Chabbewal said that government schools in Punjab are being transformed with schemes like 'School of Eminence'. He said that "It is the government's endeavour that children get education equipped with modern technology and ideological approach so that they can be prepared for global competition." On the issue of mining, he clarified that all mining operations are being monitored under a transparent policy, so that illegal mining can be stopped and the government does not suffer revenue loss. He said that work is also going on rapidly on new roads, bridges and irrigation related projects. He said that the government is regularly organizing job fairs to provide employment to the youth in government and private sectors. Along with this, skill development programs are also being implemented rapidly. Dr Chabbewal also gave his reaction on the matter of installing railings on the banks of the Bist Doab Canal and providing canal irrigation water to the surrounding fields. He said that DPR has already been prepared in this direction and the concerned departments have been instructed to start the work.
