Dengue Larvae Checkup Campaign Launched at Garhshankar Police Station on the Occasion of Dry Day

Garhshankar, Paigam-e-Jagat 23 May 2025 – Under the directions of the Punjab Government, under the leadership of Dr. Paramhans, a dengue larva checkup campaign was launched at Garhshankar Police Station today on the occasion of Dry Day by Civil Hospital Garhshankar to reduce the risk of dengue and to make people aware about the proper methods of prevention.

Garhshankar, Paigam-e-Jagat 23 May 2025 – Under the directions of the Punjab Government, under the leadership of Dr. Paramhans, a dengue larva checkup campaign was launched at Garhshankar Police Station today on the occasion of Dry Day by Civil Hospital Garhshankar to reduce the risk of dengue and to make people aware about the proper methods of prevention.
The Civil Hospital team, which included Medical Officer Dr. Sunny Chaudhary, Sanitary Inspector from the Municipal Council and MPH Rajesh Parthi of the Vector-Borne Disease Control Department along with nursing students, inspected the internal and external parts of the police station. 
The team checked the stagnant water sources at various places and gave necessary instructions to the police personnel to prevent dengue.
This campaign is part of a massive awareness campaign being run by the Health Department, under which weekly inspections are being conducted in government offices and residential areas to eliminate mosquito breeding grounds and reduce the risk of dengue.
Civil Hospital Garhshankar appeals to the residents of the city to observe a dry day every week and inspect their surroundings to create a clean environment and cooperate in preventing dengue.
