Lalru (S.A.S. Nagar) May 22, 2025: MLA Kuljit Singh Randhawa inaugurated infrastructure works worth Rs. 74 lakh 56 thousand 740 in five schools of Lalru area of Derabassi constituency under Punjab Education Revolution and dedicated them to the students.

These included the inauguration of the works done at a cost of Rs 14 lakh 93 thousand 540 in Government Primary School, Village Malakpur (one smart classroom, renovation of four rooms and others), the inauguration of the works done at a cost of Rs 19 lakh 39 thousand 200 in Government Primary Smart School, Village Jola Kalan (border wall, two smart classrooms and others), the inauguration of the works done at a cost of Rs 21 lakh 15 thousand in Government High Smart School, Village Jola Kalan (art and craft, library built in a new block), the inauguration of the works done at a cost of Rs 17 lakh 9 thousand in Government Primary School, Village Kasauli (new rooms, border wall and roof repair) and the inauguration of the works done at a cost of Rs 2 lakh (border wall) in the last school of the day, Government Primary School, Village Dhiremajra and the dedication of the works done at a cost of Rs 2 lakh (border wall) to the children.
On this occasion, he said that when you visit the schools, you can see how much the schools have changed compared to before. Now there is no government school in Punjab where any student studies sitting on a bag and there is no school where there is no boundary wall. Apart from this, ultra-modern facilities have been provided in schools to raise the standard of education.
While congratulating the students and teachers of those schools on the new infrastructure, he assured that the Punjab government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann is working day and night to make the public sector education and health facilities of standard and high quality.
Students of these schools, their parents, teachers, Panch-Sarpanch and dignitaries of the area were present on the occasion.
