Garhshankar- The May meeting of Doaba Sahitya Sabha Registered Garhshankar was held at the Sabha office / Major Singh Mauji Memorial Library Gandhi Park Garhshankar under the chairmanship of Principal Dr. Bikkar Singh. The meeting was specially attended by the General Secretary of the Central Punjabi Writers' Sabha (Sekhon) Prof. Sandhu Varyanvi.
During the meeting, the details of the literary activities and income and expenditure carried out by the Sabha in the session 2024-25 were presented, which were unanimously passed by the members. Along with this, the annual budget for the year 2025-26 was also passed by the Sabha.
The members of the Sabha reviewed the annual honorarium and Kavi Darbar held on 30 March 2025 and constructive suggestions were given to make the programs to be held in the future better. Later, today's poet's court was held, which was dedicated to the memory of Ustad poet Mr. Ulfat Bajwa.
In which Prof. Sandhu Varyanvi, Principal Bikkar Singh, Pawan Kumar Bhamian, Santokh Singh Veer Ji, Amrik Hamraj, Sarwan Sidhu, Master Hans Raj, teacher leader Mukesh Gujarati and other poets present presented their works and thoughts. During the program, lyricist Amrik Hamraj sang his song "Phat 1947 De" on the partition of 1947 in Tarnam, making the atmosphere very emotional.
In the end, the general secretary of the society, Pawan Bhamian, thanked the members and audience for coming.
