Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, May 18: Today, a junior golf tournament was organized at Mohali Golf Range, where children of different age groups from different schools participated. Yadvindra Public School, Mohali won the inter-school tournament, while Delhi Public School, Khanna stood second.
Armaan Singh Virk made a best of 225 yards between three consecutive shots as he finished the match with the longest drive. 5-year-old Kian Raj was the youngest player of the match and 8-year-old Anurit won the medal for the straightest drive of the tournament.
Jaskirat Singh, Gurmehar, Indervir Singh, Samaira, Ziva also secured first positions in their categories. The tournament prizes were sponsored by Zenith Leisure Holidays Limited.
The prizes were distributed to the winners by Damandeep Kaur, SDM Mohali, Vipul Thakur from Zenith Leisure Holidays and Engineer Navjot Singh, Director Castle Stroke. Senior Coach Preetinder Kaur was also honored at this event. SDM Mohali, Damandeep Kaur said on the occasion that this game is very good for mental and physical health as the players are always surrounded by lush green fields.
