Chandigarh, November 06, 2024- The talented writer and critic of Punjabi literature Dr. Jasbir Kesar is no longer with us. He wrote many books ranging from poetry collections to criticism, from prose to literary analysis. She was not only a writer but also a teacher and reviewer.
She was the religious wife of Dr. Kesar Singh who was a scholar of high rank including Punjabi and criticism. On his death, the entire Punjabi Department, Punjab University Chandigarh observed a two minute silence. Chairman of Punjabi Department Dr. Yog Raj said that Dr. Jasbir Kesar ji had a very close association with Punjabi literature and Punjabi Department and he used to organize an annual program in the Punjabi Department every year in memory of Dr. Kesar Singh Kesar.
 Which will continue in the same way even now The Punjabi Department will remain committed to this program. Dr. Paramjit Kaur Sidhu, Dr. Satveer, Dr. Pawan, Dr. Sukhjit, research scholars and students participated in the tribute ceremony.
