Nawanshahr - As per the instructions of National Legal Services Authority and under the orders received from Member Secretary Punjab State Legal Services Authority SAS Nagar, District and Sessions Judge Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar Mrs. Priya Sood said that National Lok Adalat was to be organized in the district on 10.05.2025, but as per the instructions of NALSA, tension like situation had arisen on the Indian border, due to which the National Lok Adalat was postponed on 10.05.2025.
District and Sessions Judge Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar Mrs. Priya Sood said that now as per the instructions of National Legal Services Authority and under the guidelines of Punjab State Legal Services Authority SAS Nagar, National Lok Adalat will be organized in the district on 24.05.2025 to resolve the cases which are negotiable at judicial and pre-litigation stage by mutual consent.
He informed that in this National Lok Adalat, service cases including pension cases, land acquisition cases, revenue cases, BSNL cases, insurance company related cases, financial cases, bank loan related cases, water bill, criminal negotiable cases, cheque bounce related cases, motor accident claim cases, tribunal related cases, matrimonial disputes, traffic challan, labour dispute cases, electricity cases and other eligible cases would be heard.
