Continuous training exercises and mock drills, very useful for the future - Dr. Vishal Chopra.

Patiala- Following the orders of the Punjab Government, Health Minister Dr. Balbir Singh and the district administration, training exercises and mock drills to save lives of victims and save lives during wars are continuously being conducted in the district under the leadership of Punjab Home Guard Civil Defence DGP Mr. Sanjeev Kalra and District Commander Gurlavdeep Singh.

Patiala- Following the orders of the Punjab Government, Health Minister Dr. Balbir Singh and the district administration, training exercises and mock drills to save lives of victims and save lives during wars are continuously being conducted in the district under the leadership of Punjab Home Guard Civil Defence DGP Mr. Sanjeev Kalra and District Commander Gurlavdeep Singh. 
Under the patronage of Medical Superintendent of Rajindra Hospital Patiala Dr. Vishal Chopra, the doctors and staff members were trained and mock drills were conducted by Government of India Disaster Management Civil Defence First Aid Fire Safety Trainer Mr. Kaka Ram Verma and Company Commander Nodal Officer of Civil Defence Mohan Deep Singh. 
He said that to avoid the intense heat, poisonous gases and noise of bombs dropped by enemy countries during wars, it is important to keep your chest and heart above the ground while lying on the ground or in trenches, put your fingers in your ears, tie a wet handkerchief around your nose and mouth and keep a handkerchief or any cloth between your teeth. 
He said that lying on the ground for a long time after the bombs and missiles fall can prevent the spreading gases and smoke from entering the airway. He advised the victims to save lives by providing first aid, CPR, ventilator, artificial respiration, recovery position, stopping the flowing blood but not stopping the blood coming out of the nose, mouth and ears. 
Mohan Deep Singh conducted special training and mock drills on preparing stretchers with ropes, lime sheets, turbans, broken branches, sticks, wipers and rescue transport of victims. Dr. Vishal Chopra expressed his gratitude and said that last year, Kaka Ram Verma had also given training on Disaster Management, Civil Defense, First Aid, Fire Safety to all the students of Medical College and Nursing College. 
He expressed his gratitude and said that it is the wish of Punjab Health Minister Dr. Balbir Singh Ji that every student, teacher, citizen, police, factory workers, NSS volunteers, NCC cadets are going to get the help of Kaka Ram Verma and social service organizations to conduct these trainings two to three times a year.
