Hoshiarpur- Baba Hardev Singh Ji was embodiment of love. Dedicated to the welfare of all mankind and realizing the vision of a world full of peace, Nirankari Baba Hardev Singh Ji taught only love and peace to mankind throughout his life and while providing awareness to the entire human race said that an ideal society can be established in the world only by getting information about this Nirankar.
Till the last breath of his life, Baba Ji continuously strived to fulfill this sacred objective. ‘Blood should flow in the veins, not in the drains’, ‘Religion unites, it does not divide’, ‘Break the walls of hatred and enmity and build bridges of love’, ‘Know one, believe in one, become one’, ‘Become anything, but first become a human being’, Baba Hardev Singh Ji, who gave the message of love, affection, humility, tolerance, Brahmagyan etc., was the head of Nirankari Mission. He was born on 23 February 1954 in Delhi to father Gurbarchan Singh (Baba Ji) and mother Kulwant Kaur. He was the only brother of four sisters.
He was married to Mata Savinder Kaur in November 1975, who took over the reins of the Mission as Satguru for two years after his demise and showered love on the devotees. He was blessed with three daughters Samta, Renuka and Sudiksha Ji (current Satguru Mata Ji of Nirankari Mission). He received his primary education from Rajouri Public School, Delhi.
After that, for secondary education, he was admitted to Yadavindra Public School, Patiala (Punjab) in 1963 from where he passed matriculation in 1969. He received higher education from Delhi University. From childhood itself, he started making spiritual journeys in India and abroad with his father Satguru Baba Gurbarchan Singh Ji and Rajmata Kulwant Kaur Ji. In 1971, you joined Sant Nirankari Sevadal and started taking interest in service by wearing khaki uniform.
To inspire soldiers for good deeds, you started a blood donation camp on 24 April 1986 and gave a slogan to bring humanity closer to humanity 'Blood should flow in veins, not in drains'. The world record of blood donation by Nirankari Mission is recorded in history. Under the series of blood donation camps started by you, Sant Nirankari Mission has donated 14,05,177 units of blood by organizing 8644 blood donation camps so far and this series is continuing. You led the Mission for 36 years. You were the Messiah of love.
The tireless services rendered by you for social welfare can never be forgotten. Apart from this, today when the threat of 'global warming' (increasing temperature of the earth) is looming over the entire country, in order to overcome this problem in such a dangerous situation, Aap Ji inspired his sevadars to plant trees all over India and the world. Apart from this, he also contributed immensely in the Prime Minister's Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. Whenever any kind of natural disasters, earthquake, tsunami, flood etc. occurred, even there Aap Ji's sevadars worked day and night for the welfare of humanity. Baba Hardev Singh Ji tried to eliminate casteism, inspired people to stay away from intoxication, dowry and all the evils of the society from human life through his teachings. Aap Ji was honored at a high level by the Parliament of 27 European countries in England and he was also specially made the Chief Advisor of the United Nations (UN). Apart from this, Aap Ji was also honored at the international level for establishing world peace. After Baba Hardev Singh Ji passed away on 13 May 2016, Mata Savinder Hardev Ji became the fifth Satguru of Nirankari Mission and contributed immensely in the services of the Mission. In her first thought itself, Mata Savinder Hardev Ji addressed Baba Hardev Singh Ji as the embodiment of love. Presently, Satguru Mata Sudiksha Ji Maharaj is serving as the sixth Satguru of Nirankari Mission and is taking the Nirankari Mission to new heights.
