The civil surgeon reviewed the arrangements to deal with the emergency.

Hoshiarpur- As per the instructions of the government, keeping in mind the emergency situation, Civil Surgeon Hoshiarpur Dr. Pawan Kumar Shagotra reviewed the preparations of SDM Dasuha and SDM Mukerian health institutions. He inspected the blood bank, emergency ward and OT and various departments in the hospital and issued necessary instructions to the concerned staff.

He inspected the blood bank, emergency ward and OT and various departments in the hospital and issued necessary instructions to the concerned staff.
Keeping in mind the emergency situation, he instructed the staff to ensure proper arrangements in the hospitals for emergency preparations, keep the operation theater in working condition for emergency services, keep adequate stock of medicines, keep full supply of blood in the blood banks of the district.
During this, he also reviewed the facilities being provided to the patients in emergency, OPD, maternity department, pharmacy etc. Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Pawan Kumar said that preparations have been completed in coordination with 16 government and 70 private hospitals of the district.
Where a total of about 2500 beds are available. He told that we have 22 government and 21 private ambulances which are equipped with every facility. Similarly, blood of every group is available in all the blood banks of the district and the list of blood donors is also available. He told that in case of emergency, the department has made arrangements to handle about 10 thousand patients. The Health Department has set up a control room at the district level whose number is 01882-252170 and 94653-97180 which will be on duty 24 hours. The nodal officers of the control room will be Assistant Civil Surgeon Dr. DP Singh, District Epidemiologist Dr. Jagdeep Singh.
