SAS Nagar, May 12- Mohali Police has arrested one smuggler with 20 grams of heroin. This individual was supplying drugs to customers in the Mohali area.
DSP City 2 Shri Harsimran Singh Bal stated that this individual was apprehended under the ‘War Against Drugs’ campaign launched against drugs on the directions of SSP Shri Deepak Pareek, led by Inspector Jasnpreet Singh, head of Aero City Police Station.
He informed that during a police checkpoint, Sukhjit Singh alias Surjit Singh, a resident of Village Sandhwa, Sadar Kotkapura Police Station, District Faridkot (currently residing in a PG in Sector 91), was arrested. During a search of his bag, 20 grams of heroin were recovered, and a case was registered against him under Section 21 of the NDPS Act at IT City Police Station. 
He added that the accused was presented in court, and a one-day police remand was obtained. During interrogation, the accused revealed that he procured the drugs from acquaintances in Firozpur district and sold them to regular customers in Mohali. Further investigation is underway by the police.
