Patiala, December 23 - 23-year-old Kajal of Pedhan village committed suicide by jumping into the Bhakra canal after being harassed by a married man. By the time people nearby pulled her out of the canal, the girl had died. A case has been registered against accused Rajinder Singh at Bhadson police station.
Some time ago, the accused had employed the girl at the convenience center. Under the guise of this, he started harassing Kajal and doing wrong things with her. Before jumping into the canal, Kajal had told her brother Sukhchain Singh everything about the movements of the accused. The accused is absconding but the SHO of Bhadson police station Inderpal Chauhan has said that the search for the accused is on and he will be arrested soon.
