
Mohali Police arrested the main accused of the vehicle theft gang.
SAS Nagar, May 6 - A police team led by Om Prakash, in-charge of Saneta outpost of Mohali Police, recovered two Canter 709 trucks stolen by miscreants on May 3, which contained valuable material for film shooting (about Rs 40 lakh).

DSP City 2 Mr. Harsimran Singh Bal said that one of the stolen canters had GPS installed in it. Assistant SHO Om Prakash registered a case and started investigation and according to the GPS, the truck was seen standing on the Raikot to Barnala road.
He said that when the police team reached the spot and searched for the truck, a message of battery disconnect started coming on the complainant's phone. This revealed that the thieves had removed the GPS.
Then on the basis of a number given by the complainant, the location was traced with the help of cyber, first from Dharamkot, then from Moga Mandi Nihal Singh Wala and the main accused Navjot Singh alias Navi alias Jaita, resident of Madhe Road, near Government School, Nihal Singh Wala, District Moga was arrested and he was produced in the court of Regional Magistrate Mrs. Sweta Das and 2 days police remand was obtained.
He told that today the police recovered both the canters (filled with goods) from Nihal Singh Wala Anaj Mandi on the information of the accused. Along with this, the Thar vehicle used in the crime, which had a temporary number plate, has also been recovered.
He said that the accused will be produced in the court tomorrow. His remaining accomplices are being searched. He told that among these accused there are 7 bouncers and 3 other people working in the film line, who have been named in the case.
