Patiala- The dharna by Guru Teg Bahadur Nursing Employees Union and United Nurses Association of Punjab continued with full enthusiasm on the fourth day for their legitimate demands. During this dharna, the entire nursing cadre raised slogans and demonstrated strongly against the employee killing policies of the government.
During this struggle, a meeting was held with the Honorable Principal Secretary K Rahul and Director DRME Avnish Kumar ji under the leadership of President Ramanjit Singh Gill from Amritsar, President Karamjit Kaur Aulakh from Patiala and President Jyoti Sharma from Mohali and in this meeting they decided to hold a panel meeting on 21 May 2025 regarding their legitimate demands. Therefore, the office bearers of the association have decided that our Ross Rally should be postponed till 21 May and if the panel meeting of 21 May is postponed due to any reason or no solution is found in this meeting, then this Ross Rally will be resumed from 22 May 2025 and a tough struggle will be carried out. We hope that the legitimate demands of the entire nursing cadre will be met in this panel meeting. The main demands of the nursing cadre include getting 4600 grade pay, counting the period from 2009 to 2019 in promotion, bringing the Autonomous Society of Mohali completely under the Punjab Government, changing the name of the nursing cadre, creating long-vacancies in the nursing institute on the basis of immediate promotion, implementing promotion policy on the basis of 4,9,14, issuing the option to go from DRME to DHS, etc.
