We are all united to save water: Jeet Mohinder Singh Sidhu.

Maur Mandi- Punjab is an agricultural state and the lifeline of agriculture here is water. To meet the irrigation needs of the state, water shortages keep recurring from time to time. In such a situation, no other state can be given Punjab's share of water. But if there is an attempt to snatch Punjab's water, then we are all united in the fight to save it.

The above views were expressed by senior Congress leader Jeet Mohinder Singh Sidhu, former MLA, through a press statement issued here. Sidhu said that the issue of water has been a serious issue for a long time and for this, governments have also fought legal battles from time to time.
He said that the dispute arising from the current attempt to give Punjab's share of water to Haryana should be resolved through talks. But if the central government tries to give Punjab's share of water to Haryana by using its power, then all Punjabis will strongly oppose it.
He said that the Congress party is also strongly opposed to attempts to plunder Punjab's waters and Punjab Congress President Amarinder Singh Raja Warring and Leader of the Opposition Partap Singh Bajwa have already made it clear that the entire Punjab Congress is committed to prioritizing the interests of the state in the water battle.
