
Akali Dal raises questions on the poor condition of Chapparchiri road.
SAS Nagar, May 2 – Shiromani Akali Dal’s Halqa Incharge Jathedar Parvinder Singh Sohana has said that the Punjab government, which claims to make Punjab colorful, has been unable to fulfill even the basic needs of the people. Regarding the poor condition of Chapparchiri connecting the historical Gurdwara Baba Banda Singh Bahadur, he said that the Badal government had spent crores of rupees to construct the Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Fateh Burj, for whose darshan a large number of devotees come to Chapparchiri every day, but the poor condition of the road connecting this holy place with Kharar and Mohali is hurting the development claims of the Punjab government.

The Akali leader said that due to this poor condition of the road, accidents happen every day and also the vehicles of the passengers suffer heavy losses. He said that on May 12, thousands of devotees of the area will gather to celebrate the annual festival of Baba Banda Singh Bahadur, about which the local MLA has been given reminders many times, but despite the passage of 3 years, this important demand of the devotees and the residents of the area has not been fulfilled till date.
He demanded that this road be repaired and carpeted immediately, so that the devotees do not have to face any trouble, otherwise the residents of the area will be forced to struggle. On this occasion, the administrators of the Gurdwara Sahib, former Sarpanch Sohan Singh Chapparchiri, Navjot Singh Jyoti, Sarpanch Gurpreet Singh Tangori, Lambardar Harvinder Singh Sukhgarh, Karamjit Singh Mauli and Kuldeep Singh and the villagers were also present.
