Meeting of District Vyapar Mandal Commission, Industry Association held under the leadership of Member Punjab Vyapari Aayog Vineet Verma.

Nagar, 30 April 2025: A meeting was held with the Presidents of various markets of Mohali, Presidents of Vyapar Mandal and Industry Associations under the leadership of Member Punjab Vyapari Aayog Vineet Verma to know the problems of the people in the presence of Commissioner Parminder Pal Singh at the Corporation Office, Mohali today.

S.A.S. Nagar, 30 April 2025: A meeting was held with the Presidents of various markets of Mohali, Presidents of Vyapar Mandal and Industry Associations under the leadership of Member Punjab Vyapari Aayog Vineet Verma to know the problems of the people in the presence of Commissioner Parminder Pal Singh at the Corporation Office, Mohali today.
Various issues related to the Municipal Corporation were heard in this meeting and many of these issues were resolved on the spot. For example, the traders demanded that the cleaning done by the corporation is delayed and the parking lot gets filled due to vehicles. In this regard, instructions were given that the market should be cleaned early in the morning so that the cleaning can be done in the right time/manner.
During this meeting, it was demanded that there are many RMC points along the markets, so their cleaning should be done immediately, so that the customers and shopkeepers coming to the markets can get relief from the foul smell. Apart from this, the traders also demanded that legal action should be taken against illegal rickshaw drivers, so that the parking of the markets can be freed for the traders and their customers.
The traders also said that the public toilets and bathrooms are not maintained properly, the work of their maintenance should also be given to the traders, so that they can get the cleaning done at their own level. During the meeting, various demand letters were given by the traders, some of which were related to GMADA and some to the police department.
Punjab Traders Commission member Vineet Verma has issued instructions to the departments to solve the problems of the traders on priority basis. He said that the Punjab government considers traders an important part of the economic development of Punjab and their demands will be solved on priority basis.
On this occasion, Market Committee Chairman Phase-2 Nitish Vij, Satnam Singh Phase-5, Harish Singla Phase-1, Anil Kumar Phase-6, Jaswinder Singh Phase 3B-1, Ratan Singh Phase 3-A, Suresh Verma and Sarabjit Singh Prince Phase-7, Akbinder Singh Gosal Phase 3B-2, Manoj Phase-9, Ricky Sharma and Vikas Kumar Phase-10, Gurbachan Singh Phase-11 Sector-67, Pankaj Sharma Sector-69, Ashok Aggarwal Sector-70.
Foza Singh Motor Market and besides this, Chamber of Commerce officials Seetal Singh Chairman, Suresh Goyal, Industry Association Phase-9, Davinder Singh Longia and Gurnam Singh, Grocery Association, Yashpal Singla, Amardeep Kaur, Kashmir Kaur and Surinder Singh Matour were present.
