
Punjab government is with the farmers at every step: Jai Krishna Singh Raudi.
Hoshiarpur- Deputy Speaker of Punjab Assembly Jai Krishna Singh Raudi visited the grain market of Garhshankar and reviewed the wheat crop procurement process. During this, he interacted with farmers, commission agents and market officials and took stock of the status of the procurement process and understood their problems. During this, Market Committee Garhshankar Chairman Baldeep Singh Saini was also present with him.

The Deputy Speaker said that the Punjab government under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann is committed to protecting the interests of the farmers. He assured that the government is ensuring that the farmers get the right price for their crops on time and there is no hindrance in the procurement process.
He inspected the facilities available in the mandis and directed the officials that the farmers do not face any kind of difficulty. He said that full care should be taken of the basic facilities like cleanliness, drinking water and shade in the mandis so that the farmers can get a pleasant environment.
The deputy speaker said that so far 2,34,183 metric tonnes of wheat had arrived in the district, out of which 2,33,287 metric tonnes of wheat had been procured by various government agencies.
He said that the process of payment to the farmers was going on smoothly and so far Rs 513.55 crore had been transferred directly into the accounts of the farmers. Jai Krishan Singh Raudi, while interacting with the farmers, listened to their problems and assured them that the government was ready to resolve all their issues.
He said that the government had taken several steps to make the procurement process transparent and smooth. He said that the Punjab government was constantly making efforts to increase the income of farmers and strengthen the agriculture sector. Officers of various procurement agencies were also present on the occasion.
