Chandigarh:- Trustees of Anabhau Foundation Charitable Trust have accused DSP-HS Bal and SHO Simranjit Singh of Mohali Police of tampering with the original land papers of the trust and benefiting the old trust members (who had resigned).
A petition has also been filed in the Hon’ble Supreme Court regarding the matter of tampering with papers by DSP-HS Bal and other police officers. The aggrieved party has also complained to the state DGP and district SSP in this regard that strict action should be taken against the accused officers.
During a press conference at Chandigarh Press Club, trust member Lakhvir Singh and others said that in the year 2000, there was 6 acres of land in Sector 113 Mohali in the name of the trust. But due to some reason some of the old members of the trust resigned from the trust. The matter regarding the ownership and possession of the trust land escalated and reached the police.
The police asked them for the original land documents. Trust member Lakhvir Singh without doubting his credibility handed over the original documents to the DSP-HS Force. The land was handed over through a 'fard'/seizure memo. But the DSP-HS Force, supporting the old trust members (who had resigned from the trust), handed over all the original documents to them.
An attempt was made to tamper with all these documents to make them appear to belong to the old trust members. When this came to light, the trust member Lakhvir Singh protested and the matter was brought to the notice of the higher authorities. A complaint was also made to the Vigilance Department about this malpractice of the DSP-HS Force.
Later, the higher authorities took strict notice of the matter and sent all the documents to the Forensic Science Laboratory to ascertain their authenticity. Now all the papers and other fake documents are with the Forensic Science Laboratory. We also suspect that the documents sent by DSP Bal and SHO Simranjit Singh to the Forensic Science Laboratory are also not genuine, they are also probably fake documents.
He said that he demands that keeping in mind the gross illegal actions and criminal acts of the Mohali Police, it should be thoroughly investigated and strict action should be taken against the accused culprits.
