Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, April 26: Mohali Police has succeeded in tracing the case by arresting 02 accused out of 04 unknown accused who set fire to a Verna car parked outside Sector-78 of the city.
SSP Deepak Pareek informed that under the supervision of Saurav Jindal, Superintendent of Police (Investigation) and Talwinder Singh, Deputy Superintendent of Police (Investigation), Inspector Harminder Singh, in-charge CIA Staff Mohali Camp and Kharar team investigated the case and arrested 2 out of the four accused on April 24.
He said that on April 14, based on the statements of Mandeep Singh, son of Gurdev Singh, resident of House No. 86, Chakeria Road, Ward No. 11, Mansa Hall, resident of House No. 478, Sector-78, Sohana, District SAS Nagar, case No. 93 dated 14-04-2025 under Section 326(G) BNS, Police Station Sohana was registered against unknown accused.
According to his statements, on April 14, 2025, he parked his vehicle No. PB31-U-3178, brand Hyundai Verna, color Silver, in front of his house like every day. At around 12:44 AM, he heard a loud noise from outside the house.
On which he came out of the house and saw that three unknown persons who had petrol bottles in their hands, who poured petrol on his car and set it on fire. After setting his car on fire, the three unknown accused got into a car branded Polo, where their fourth accomplice was already sitting in the car, and fled from the spot. The plaintiff's car was completely burnt to ashes on the road.
To trace the above incident, different teams of CIA staff were formed, who continuously investigated in a technical manner and traced the trail of the unknown accused, traced the case and the following accused were arrested.

Name and address of the accused:-
1. Accused Ashu son of Jassi resident of House No. 33 Bengala Basti, Mundi Kharar, District SAS Nagar, who is about 21 years old, who is illiterate and unmarried.
2. Accused Chandan alias Chanchal son of Bija resident of House No. 32 Ward No. 11 Bengala Basti Mundi Kharar, District SAS Nagar whose age is about 19 years who is illiterate and unmarried. (Accused Ashu and Chandan were arrested from Park Mundi Kharar of Bengala Basti)
3. Kapil son of Jaswinder Singh resident of village Paprala, Police Station Guhla Chika, District Kaithal, Haryana Hall resident

4. Kirpal Singh alias Pala son of Lala resident of near Government School village Jhanjeri, Police Station Sadar Kharar Hall resident of House No. 980 Ward No. 4 Chhajju Majra Colony, Sector-05 Kharar, District SAS Nagar. (Arrest pending)

Details of interrogation of the accused:-
The interrogation of the accused revealed that both the arrested accused are idle and they are friends of accused Kapil and Kirpal alias Pala. Who told in the interrogation that Gurdhyan Singh, son of accused Kapil's aunt, is living abroad in Canada. Who had a money transaction with the plaintiff. The arrested accused had carried out the said incident in consultation with each other on the instructions of accused Kapil. While carrying out the incident, the accused had put a fake number PB65-AT-8252 on the Polo car. Accused Kapil and Kirpal alias Pala are absconding from the house. Who will be arrested soon. The arrested accused are under police remand.
