
Awareness session on following traffic rules and staying away from intoxication was organised at Ryan International School, Sector-66, Mohali.
SAS Nagar, 23rd April 2025: Under the guidance of Shri Deepak Pareek, SSP Mohali and as per the directions of Shri Navneet Mahal SP Traffic, Mohali, Shri Karnail Singh DSP Traffic Police Mohali organised a special awareness session at Ryan International School, Sector-66, Mohali to make students understand the importance of traffic rules.
SAS Nagar, 23rd April 2025: Under the guidance of Shri Deepak Pareek, SSP Mohali and as per the directions of Shri Navneet Mahal SP Traffic, Mohali, Shri Karnail Singh DSP Traffic Police Mohali organised a special awareness session at Ryan International School, Sector-66, Mohali to make students understand the importance of traffic rules.
On this occasion, DSP Shri Karnail Singh informed the students about traffic rules in detail and motivated them to follow them in life. He taught the students that it is very important to wear helmets while driving scooters, motorcycles and fasten seat belts while riding in four wheelers. Violation of these is not only punishable but also life threatening.
He said that using mobile while driving causes distraction which is the main cause of accidents.
He also stressed on not driving under influence of alcohol and following speed limits. On this occasion, the students were given correct information about stop, no entry, school zone, traffic lights, sign boards and road marking in the school. Detailed discussion was also held on the use of zebra crossing for pedestrians and caution while crossing the road. He said that while driving, one should always keep driving license, RC, insurance and PUC certificate with oneself. Apart from this, he also motivated the students to stay away from drugs, participate in sports as much as possible and become good citizens. School Principal Rosie Bhatia thanked DSP Karnail Singh and said that such sessions create awareness among the youth and lead them towards a safe future. He said that this awareness campaign will prove to be a step towards laying a strong foundation for the students in the near future. Zone Incharge Traffic Mr. Surinder Singh was also present on this occasion and school staff Mrs. Sudha Singh, Mrs. Manju Pandey, Mrs. Kanwalpreet Kaur, Mrs. Shivali Mrs. Navdeep were also present.
