Hoshiarpur- Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh's niece and younger brother Rajinder Singh's daughter Bhupinder Kaur Sangha has passed away. She lived with her family in Hoshiarpur's Civil Lines area (near old Kachehri Chowk). Her last rites were performed with full honours today at Shivpuri in Cho Paar.
On this occasion, people associated with all the political, social and religious organisations of the city, besides a large number of lawyers present, shared their grief with the Sangha family. During this, his elder son Sukhjinder Singh Sangha and younger son Advocate Sukhjinderjit Singh Sangha performed the last rites of his mortal remains. Let us tell you that to spread the thoughts of Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh among the common people and to keep this torch burning, S. Bhupinder Kaur and her younger son Advocate Sukhwinderjit Singh Sangha organized many programs and participated in programs organized by many organizations and tried to realize the dream of post-independence India.
On this occasion, while hundreds of people from the city and surrounding areas bid a final farewell to Bhupinder Kaur, the sad thing was that not a single representative of the government and the district administration attended her funeral. On the one hand, while the government does not tire of motivating people to work with respect for the martyrs and their families, the politics of votes in the name of martyrs is also not hidden from anyone. But the government and the government machinery forgot the family of Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh. Due to which there was a huge protest among the people present there and people said that at least the family of Shaheed Bhagat Singh should get the respect it deserves.
On this occasion, Advocate Sukhwinderjit Singh Sangha made people aware of the life history of Mata Bhupinder Kaur and expressed his protest wholeheartedly against the indifference of the government and the district administration. Paying tribute to Mata Bhupinder Kaur on this occasion, former chairman of Nagar Sudhar Trust, advocate Rakesh Marwaha said that he has met Mata Bhupinder Kaur in many programs and has discussed her experiences and the thinking of Bhagat Singh and his family towards the country.
He said that our duty is not fulfilled by remembering the martyrs on their special days, but it is also our duty to maintain harmony with their families and stand with them in their happiness and sorrow. It is sad that if the government and the district administration have forgotten the family of the great hero Shaheed Bhagat Singh, then what can be expected from the common people.
