Nawanshahr- Shri Guru Ramdas Seva Society, Nawanshahr celebrated the 404th Prakash Parv Day of Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji by planting trees on the divider near Gurdwara Manji Sahib Patshahi Nauvi, Banga Road, Nawanshahr. On this occasion, Chief Sevadar Gurdwara Manji Sahib Jathedar Baba Narang Singh Ji appreciated the work being done by Shri Guru Ramdas Seva Society, Nawanshahr for environmental protection and planted trees.
He appealed that everyone should cooperate in such works. On this occasion, Secretary of the Society, S. Amarjit Singh Khalsa congratulated all the devotees on the occasion of Prakash Parv of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji and said that on this occasion trees were planted for the purity of the environment.
On this occasion, Amarjit Singh Khalsa said that the ninth Guru of the Sikhs, Shri Guru Teg Bahadur Ji was born on 1 April 1621 from the womb of Mata Nanaki Ji in Gurdwara Guru Ke Mahal in Amritsar. He is revered as "Chadar of India" because he made a great sacrifice to protect the religion. The sacrifice of Guru Teg Bahadur Ji made the oppressed common people of India ready to fight and sacrifice against the rulers.
He said that we should protect the teachings of Guru Sahib, we should rise above the religions created by humans and should step on the path of universal religion i.e. humanity, non-violence, kindness, peace and integrity. Jathedar Baba Narang Singh Ji, Amarjit Singh Khalsa, Inderjit Singh, Deepak, Azad, Kuldeep Singh etc. were present on this occasion.
