On this occasion, Sikh Educational Council General Secretary Professor Apinder Singh, Treasurer Veer Inder Sharma, Agriculture Expert Dr. Sukhdev Singh Dhillon were present as the chief guests. College Principal Dr. Parvinder Singh encouraged the students present to participate in such competitions with enthusiasm.
He said that in today's era, students need to start small businesses to focus on employment along with academic education. Prof. Bimala Jaswal, Head of the Department of Commerce, shared information about the activities of the department.
On this occasion, students participated in Business Quiz Competition, Langoli, Poster Making, Model Creation, PPT Presentation and Edmed Show. Team Brilliant won first place in Business Quiz. Simran Kaur won first place in Langoli, Nancy won first place in Poster Making and Priyanshu won first place in PPT Presentation.
Students Mannat, Dimple, Rachna won first place in Model Making Competition. Asma Parveen and Priyanshu won first place individually in Edmed Show. On this occasion, teachers from different departments Dr. J.B. Sekhon, Prof. Anil Kalsi, Prof. Gurpreet Kaur, Dr. Aarti Sharma, Prof. Rajwinder Kaur played the role of judging in various competitions.
The General Secretary of the Council, Professor Apinder Singh, taught the students to be academically and employably focused as well as to have good moral values. All the teachers of the Commerce Department, Prof Amarjit Lal, Dr Rakesh Kumar, Prof Jagdeep Kumari, Prof Sandeep Kaur, Prof Amarjoti, Prof Harpreet Kaur, Prof Gurpreet Kaur, Prof Anjali, Prof Savita, Prof Harpreet Kaur and the students contributed to the successful organization of this event.
