Patiala: PRTC pensioners held monthly meeting here today under the leadership of PRTC Pensioners Association State President Bhagwant Singh Kanganwal. In which a large number of pensioners from various depots participated. Speakers from various depots condemned the management for giving half pension for the month of March and also hinted at starting a struggle if the outstanding amount is not paid immediately.
They raised slogans against the management and the government due to the silence maintained by the management regarding the payment of half pension and outstanding amount. Addressing this rally-like meeting, State President Bhagwant Singh Kanganwal said that our dues have been pending for a long time, what should we do, but our pension has also started coming in installments. He warned the management and said that if the management continues to treat us in this manner, then we will be forced to struggle. The responsibility of which will be of the organization.
He told the pensioners to be ready soon for any further action. General Secretary of Central Body Hari Singh Chamak said that we have repeatedly knocked the door of the management to get our rights like pension and arrears, arrears of 2016 grade, gratuity, payment of medical bills etc. but we have got nothing but saliva from the management.
He said that by giving pension in installments, giving us vaccines the management is testing our patience and by joining this they want to deprive us of our dues. He has demanded from the Punjab Government that new buses should be started in the institution to keep the institution running. Apart from the above, this meeting was also addressed by Sarv Shri Bachan Singh Arora General Secretary Central Body, Shiv Kumar Patiala Depot, Bachittar Singh Ludhiana Depot, Tarsem Singh Saini Kapurthala, Pritam Singh Brar Bathinda, Madan Mohan Barnala, Raghvir Singh Budhlada, Kala Ram Kotkapura Faridkot, Balwant Singh Joga Sangrur, Bhajan Singh Chandigarh.
To make this meeting successful, all Shri Amolak Singh Cashier, Bakshish Singh, Ramditta, Gurcharan Singh, Bir Singh, Pritam Singh, Mahinder Singh Sohi, Suraj Bhan, Balveer Singh Butter, Sant Ram, Balwant Singh Cashier, Parmesh Kumar, Nirpal Singh etc. were involved.
